This is a unique opportunity to experience fresco sgraffito installation at the actual work site – St Augustine of Hippo, Denver CO.
iLia Fresco (Anossov) and Fr Demetrios will be carving and painting a full giornata assisted by Phil Ano who will be doing the plastering. The class will take place during actual installation and will combine student personal work and observation of actual fresco/sgraffito installation on the ceiling of the church.
Itinerary for the 3 day workshop (materials and tools provided)
Class:
Day 1 – Saturday Dec 13 – cartoon, sgraffito advanced plaster class
Day 2 – Sunday Dec 14 – Face & Hands Studies on ceramic tile (you can take those home)
Day 3 – Monday Dec 15 – Open day – you can work on another fresco or deep dive into plaster
